Another tinkerbird from my upcoming set. Included in the set are all 10 tinkerbird species and all 6 mousebird species. The Mistletoe branch in the image is from Australia v2. The Southern Red-fronted Tinkerbird is found in southern Mozambique and eastern South Africa. It eats primarily berries and fruit, particularly mistletoe. This tinkerbird also will take insects as it forages in deep cover. At about 101 repetitions per minute, the Red-fronted tinkerbird's call is a fast "tink-tink-tink-tink", very similar to that of the Yellow-fronted tinkerbird. The differences between the Northern and Southern Red-fronted Tinkerbirds (other than location) are primarily the yellow eyebrow and yellowish tint on the throat of the "southern" species; the "Northern" has white in both areas.
