Description
Here's a sneak peek at my final project of the year... it is another addition to my Nature's Wonders Beetle series. This add-on set will include the Eastern Lightning Bug, 5 different species of cockroaches (American, German, Oriental, Smoky-brown & Brown-banded), as well as the Colorado Potato Beetle and Click Beetle. Look for it somewhere around the end of the year.
The Eastern Lightning Bug is the most common species of firefly in North America, and is typically found east of the Rocky Mountains.
An organ on its abdomen is responsible for its light production. The light producing enzyme is luciferase, and is found within cells of the lantern. Luciferase requires oxygen, luciferin and adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to catalyze a chemical reaction that produces bioluminescence in these insects.

I have never been fortunate enough to see a firefly, but now I feel like I have!
I saw them (for real) while I was in Pennsylvania many years back... of course, I also see them every time I ride Pirates of the Caribbean or eat at the Blue Bayou at Disneyland lol
We (westerners; west of the Rockies) call them Fireflies... those east of the Rockies refer to them usually as Lightning bugs
Very good job and definitely, always player is main point who matters but not the game..
Quite meaningful but not so much need to understand something like that, in other people's books!
