Description
Here's another species from my upcoming "Songbird ReMix Characters v4"... The Summer Tanager.
This species is sexually dimorphic. Males are red, females are yellow. It is found across the southern United States from California to Florida, and in the eastern United States as far north as 40°N.
They are bee and wasp specialists, although they will take a wide variety of flying and non-flying insects. During late breeding season, migration, and in winter range, their diet changes to mostly takes fruit.
