Um, yeah, private joke. I sent her a link too. Anyway, some customers are just not content with the stock colours and ordered custom finishes on their SC-400s. These images are a selection of those ordered; there's another one done, but I'll leave the reveal on that one for a forthcoming series. The series tells the story of a family that lives in the era when these flyers are what people own instead of cars. I wish I did! The pearlescent white finish was originally ordered by just one customer but many people who saw it loved it, so it was ordered a number of times by those who could afford it. It never became a standard finish as it was just too expensive, but there was more than one of them. The rainbow iridescent finish was copied a few times too. The Fiery Storm finish remained unique, though other people did their own fiery patterns of various kinds. And finally, purple with sparkly gold hearts! That one was unique too though the metallic flake gold was used a few times by the company that created it.
