Beowulf confronts Grendel's Mother in her halls beneath the mere...
One of several version i attempted, mucking around wiith DoF and bloom filters and what not... after several hours of trial and error I went with the first take! (though an alt with bloom filtering and a narrower DoF is posted for comparison)
Same runtime assets as the previous images with the addition of DM's Cave of Secrets

These are both excellent images. I like the comparison between them - and it's sometimes difficult to decide - been there lots of times. The original has the crispness with a bit of contrast, while the second has nice lighting effects but a bit less contrast.
yes it bears a bit more experimentation i think; i did reduce the gamma a bit on the bloom filtered version to try and increase the contrast, but perhaps not quite enough... the other option would have been to go the whole hog and try for a the full ground fog atmosphere thing... but don't think my rig's not quite up to that! I may yet have a bash and see what happens.
