Description
The reason for me creating my "Butterfly Garden" set (to be released very soon) was based on the need to have some actual lupine for my butterflies to feed on. The only lupine plants available in the 3D market were all based a a highly stylized European cultivar and not the plants I had seen in the wild, or in my yard. I needed a more natural natural, wild form.
As with my "Hummingbird Garden" set, I selected three plants and created several different form shapes and subspecies of each. In "Butterfly Garden" sets case, it is lupine, (white) sage and buckwheat. The models were designed for close-ups so their polygon counts (especially the buckwheat) can be significant.
The images show to different species of lupine, Silver Bush and Yellow Tree lupine along with a couple of my butterflies (American Lady and Giant Swallowtail)
