First, a little background on what this is for. I'm working on a major new project where I will be creating a plethora of original Star Wars inspired fan art. It won't be an online comic or anything like that; just several one-shot artworks inspired by Star Wars and its many characters. Before I can create those scenes for the artworks, I first need to create the timeless characters and their likenesses! So that's what I'm doing right now and here is the first one that I am posting here on Renderosity: Luke Skywalker. (Each character is/will be rendered on the same neutral stage although stupid me forgot to use the same lighting for each one.) They will also all have neutral expressions so that their facial features can best be seen. Constructive suggestions on improvements to this and all of these characters/renders are encouraged! The character likeness was sculpted by me in Poser 13 using Poser's built-in morphing tools. (I rewatched the movies and looked at tons of reference photos to get all of these likenesses to look "right".) I created all of the body and hair textures myself. The clothing, hair, and prop models came from elsewhere but I did update each and every piece with new Superfly shaders. The lightsaber's "glowing" effects were all done inside Poser rather than added in later using Photoshop. It was done using various emission shaders and Superfly. The ambient light from the lightsaber may be a bit too strong. I'm still tweaking these shaders and improving them as I can. So far, this is the only outfit variation I have created for Luke. I do plan on creating a variation of him in his Rebel pilot uniform but haven't done it quite yet.
