Description
Here's the final render in my Phasmid (aka walking stick) project featuring the "Giant" walking stick as well as some red-crowned cranes. The full set includes 9 species (both m/f) of phasmid.
This phasmid is found in Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore and Sumatra. It is the second longest known phasmid in the world. Females can measure up to 55.5cm (21.7 inches). It was discovered by Gray in 1835. Its host plants are Bramble (Rubus spp.), Oak (Quercus robur) and Raspberry (Rubus idaeus). It is a popular species among the pet trade due to its size.

I didn't know that Phasmids could reach that gigantic proportion... The way you' ve introduced it to us in this environment is really nice and interesting.
yes... I wanted to do an image that actually showed how big the "giant" was in relation to a human-- you don't grasp that from the product promo renders. Originally, it was just the phasmid and the human in the image, but adding the cranes I think adds that extra dimension I wanted by showing the front crane figuring out if he can slip his head through the gauntlet and get a tasty phasmid snack ;)
