A still life made of things that symbolize my memories of my Grandmothers: both gone now, my memories of them still strong but fading (with the rest of my memories...you can't stop time :^) ). The photo on the left is my mother's mother, Betty Lou Shoemaker Hunt. The photo on the right is my father's mother, Verluna Philpot Daugherty. They both had Blue Willow china, kept chickens that laid brown eggs (I can remember gathering the eggs for my Grannies), and always had fresh milk from their milk cows (I learned to milk those cows), cold from the refrigerator (the milk, not the cows. :^) I can still taste that milk, cold and refreshing...there was no air conditioning in our homes then, so any cold drink was a treat). I never failed to feel loved when in their presence. You can never get too much unconditional love. Thanks for looking.
