Description
I humbly submit this for some constructive criticism.
I've been working with Poser since Poser 1 in 1995, but mostly for technical work. Art is just a hobby. However, I've been with V4 and Firelfy for decades, and looking at what's being done today it's time to learn about physical surfaces and Superfly. So I put this project together as a learning experience that required reflections and transparencies and surface effects and interacting lights, and undertook to do everything in physical surface, including converting old poser surface items, and to try to get it to render decently with Superfly using LF2 with no post. It took me a week to get this far!
Most of the props are old things that I converted to physical surfaces, and for clothes and hair, I also refitted them to LF2. I think they came through mostly ok. The monolith, the ring of blue fire, and the sphere on the end of the staff I created for this work, all in physical surfaces. I'm happy with them except for the klutzy shape of the blue flames, but the issue was how it renders, which I think is ok. The sunset isn't a background image; it's a photo I took and used as a texture on a physical surface and lit. The LF2 face and body morphs are a combination of commercial shaping morphs and some of my own. That can be improved, but it just takes some fiddling with it.
What I'm not at all happy with is the LF2 skin texture rendering. It's the LF2 PRO SR1 default texture, which was created by some extremely knowledgeable people, so I have to assume there's something here I'm missing. I tweaked it with a little extra specularity, but she still looks like a corpse. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for all criticisms, pointers, and help!

I have the deepest sympathy for Poser artists that are unable to use the newer generation models, but what you still do with the classic models never ceases to amaze me.
