Description
Red Tip (butterfly)... this species is found in the continent of Africa, scattered from Gambia to Ethiopia and south to Angola, Namibia, Mozambique, and South Africa. It also occurs in southwestern Arabia. This species inhabits savanna, Acacia scrub and large clearings in dry woodland. This species has a wingspan of 1.57–1.77 inches (4–4.5 cm). It has pure white dorsal sides with yellow, orange, or red tips on the forewings.
In the background are two Arabian Ostriches. This ostrich went extinct in 1966 due to hunting from vehicles in Arabia.
