For some reason, this puts me in mind of an artwork named ''The Great Wave off Kanagawa' by Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai, created in 1831.

I am a fan of Hokusai and see what you mean. I tell people interested in photography or graphic arts to research Japanese wood block art to learn composition.
