"She didn't mention that she had just experienced a crisis apparition before the interview," Dorotea said.
"Ah!" her sister, the professor looked excited. "Now that's interesting! No wonder she seemed so distracted!"
"There was something else that I don't think you noticed, Lizzie..." Dorotea was interrupted by a knock at the studies door and the abrupt entrance of Ella Hamilton, the personal assistant to the Professor and her husband, Jake, who managed security and the IT infrastructure of the estate. They were accompanied by two conservatively dressed strangers.
"Sorry to interrupt, Professor, but these two seemed to warrant immediate attention," Ella began. "Let me present Agent Cumming of HSA and Agent Braun of CIA."
Jake cleared his throat. "I've confirmed with their respective departments, Professor. They're legit."
"We need to have a brief chat about someone you're considering for employment, Professor," the female agent, Eliza Braun, of the CIA began.
Dorotea folded her arms and eyed the agents with undisguised skepticism.

Professor Van Humbeek, her sister Dorotea, and her personal assistant Ella Hamilton are all based on the La Femme mesh with enhancements by Tempesta3d and Afrodite-Ohki. Ella's husband and head of security and IT for the Van Humbeek estate is based on Dusk. The male agent, Leonard Cumming, is based on M4. The female agent, Eliza Braun, is based on V4. Professor Van Humbeek's study is the Gothic room by RPublishing.

Great interplay...she looks like sheds going to throw down with the feds any sec!
My comic book layout head is on at the moment, from plotting Skytown, so I have a couple of suggestions if I may; A more rectangular/letterbox crop might suit this scene, as there's quite a lot of empty "real estate" up top that detracts a little from the figures. It might also be fun to experiment with a classic (slightly cheesy) comic style "standoff" tableau with the pov from between and behind the feds, so they're almost in silhouette, focussing on Dorotea and the Prof...
Oooh. I like the idea of a "standoff" tableau! The dead space is a problem and I'm likely showing too much of what I regard as lovely content to the detriment of the overall picture composition. As regards comics usage it seems I never think far enough ahead to leave such dead space when I really need it for extensive dialogue balloons...>.<

Good work, Jake, for making sure they're legit! And how unusual to get visitors from both domestic and international intelligence agencies at the same time! I hope they're here to warn the professor about possible threats to Lena (and not for more nefarious purposes!) I understand Joe's point about framing, but I can also really relate to the desire to show off such pretty content!!

The two agencies are working together (something that I think is rare in 'real' life) because there are components of domestic security (HSA's turf) and spy craft 'dirty tricks' on foreign soil (CIA's turf) involved with Lena's situation. I suppose I could have just made them generic 'spooks'. XD

You have certainly put your finger on the eternal conflict with great content: do you feature it, possibly overwhelming your story? ;-)

I got into paranormal activities, could i have an IT guy and an assistant also? So far I've had to settle with abnormal...:)
