Captain's Log: September 3rd (continued)
As we got farther away from the dwellings of the village, first we saw the women watching us. Then we observed a few children although they were very well hidden. Not a soul made a sound. It was a very surreal feeling. So far, we have had no one approach us. For that I am thankful. I think if truth be told we have increased the pace of our walking! I am sure I could speak for all of us that we wish we were back at camp and certainly before darkness. Where are the men of the village?
