Description
"I always enjoy your company, Grace, but I am expecting some people for an interview in a few minutes," Professor Van Humbeek said.
Grace's translucent form hovered at the Professor's shoulder. "Would you mind if I stayed and observed, Elizabeth? We could chat afterward. A second pair of eyes might be helpful and I am always seeking reasons to remain suspended between your world and dissolution. Beside which, no one can see me but you unless I exert myself. Our time together has resulted in a harmony that makes it possible for us to commune without any effort on my part."
The professor chuckled softly. "Of course, you can observe, Grace. I value your opinion. Hmmm. That's strange..." She stared intently at the screen. "Apparently I've completed a lot of paperwork for a student visa for the youngster I'm meeting. I may be getting forgetful but I don't remember doing any such thing."
"Something else is strange, Elizabeth!" the ghost murmured. "A few moments ago I heard a cry of distress. It's gone now, but it was very clear."
A knock at the study's door interrupted the conversation. "Well, we'll talk about that later, Grace. Interview now." She raised her voice, "Enter!"
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.757 then composited for ghostly transparency and tweaked in Photoshop. Professor Elizabeth Van Humbeek and Ghostly Grace are both based upon the La Femme mesh. The Professor's study is by RPublishing.

Great characters and scene!
Thank you. I really love these characters.
Molly
Fine scene. Well done.
Thank you, Mazzam. It's always nice to hear from you.
Molly
Beautiful scene!!!!!!
Thanks, Kellie. I really like the content and spent a lot of time setting up and rendering this.

Lovely scene! I love that gothic room. The professor's top is rather provocatively low-cut, but I suppose that goes with her red nails and lipstick :-) Glad she sounds faintly amused about the mysteriously completed paperwork and not outright angry, but I suppose it remains to be seen how she'll respond to Gregor's explanation!
I've been dying to get to this part of the story so I could use this room. XD
Regarding the decolletage, Elizabeth is in her mid 60's and like some academics I've known is a bit flamboyant and eccentric in her chosen appearance. She and her older sister, Dorotea, are both dressed casually in their home but have different tastes in cosmetics and clothing; for instance, Elizabeth has not a drop of ink and Dorotea is covered with it. I'm having a great time developing such details of character and appearance.
Regarding the paperwork, the Professor's temperament is such that she doesn't "fly off the handle" until she has gathered all information on any topic. She's about to get a HUGE info dump regarding Vladlena and Gregor. I hope you find that interaction and it's results credible. =)
Molly
glad they both have a smooth relationship. terrific ghostly fx work. the ghost almost look like a Disney model. all is fabulous.
Thanks! The FX is all down to compositing two images together, one with the ghost and one without. There are other ways to do it, but that seemed to me the easiest. I agree that the Grace character is gorgeous; I'd love to see more such characters from Dragonfly.

This is a very beautifully done new image dear Molly, just love it a lot! I wish you a nice Sunday!
Thank you, my dear! I hope your Sunday goes well, too! =)

J'aime beaucoup vos personnages.
Merci! J'aime mes personnages comme s'ils étaient vivants. Je suis très content de votre commentaire. (Je parle peu le français et j'utilise Google translate)
Molly
It's good to have a talented assistant - otherworldly or not!
This is really great and beautifully done!
Thank you! I really love the Professor, her sister and all the others in these story lines. Grace the ghost is a favorite and she has her own story elsewhere in my galleries. =)
Molly
Very well done! Which story is this from?
Thanks, Annie. This is the 24th installment in the story line "Vladlena B's Odyssey" found at:

I really appreciate your interest in my images and stories. <3

Dear Molly, what a surprise, the ghost grace is back! Grace and the professor are very well joined together in thought, aren't they?
Thanks, Anne! I am so very pleased that you are happy to see ghostly Grace again. She and Professor Van Humbeek are certainly joined, just as you say! =)
Molly
Very nice composition - good to see Grace. Was expecting her. I'm with perpetual - will be interesting to see how the two sisters address Gregor's rather presumptive electronic intrusion...
Thanks, JD. There's a lot to deal with: Gregor's decision to take shortcuts to expedite his sister's escape from an escalating bad situation; the man in black and his mysterious agency keeping an eye on Vladlena; and now, the appearance of a crisis apparition. Maybe this story is getting a bit out of hand.... XD
Molly
Intriguing narrative, and wonderful image! Its not easy to achieve the ethereal feel but you have that down pat for Grace.
Thanks, Joe! I ascribe a lot of my success with creating Grace to the source material from Dragonfly. The inhumanly pale complexion is a perfect starting place for a friendly ghost like Grace.
Molly
A very fine arrangement for this excellent chapter! I'm loving the progression! Many fine praises from me to you on your stellar talented creativity, Molly!
Thank you so much for your kind encouragement, Rad! <3
Molly
Impressive, most impressive, outstanding fabulous awesome composition, amazing atmosphere and lighting, brilliant awesome render. Magnificent Masterpiece of Finest Arts. I love it!
Thank you, Marius.
Molly
Fine, then I am looking forward to their next adventures!
I'll try not to disappoint you, Anne! <3 I expect to work on the next installment of the story when I get home from travelling with my daughter's family next week. =)
Molly
nicely done ghost!!
Thank you, my dear! Ghostly Grace is a beautiful apparition and the content from Dragonfly was a great place to start with developing her look. =)
Molly
sorry I missed this. the ghost is beautifully done, she's the perfect transparency. the room is beautiful, too the bookcase, desk, chandelier, and windows are all so nice.
Thank you, my dear. I've been itching to use the room content for some time and saw it as Professor Van Humbeek's study the moment I acquired it. I have a lot of fun with making the ghost although any picture she's in has to be rendered twice to get all the effects I want. XD
Molly
Wonderfully done
Thank you. I love these characters. =)
