Poor Gregor! His expression looks so miserable! I hope the husky alto voice is coming from a trusted friend who can help him feel better!

It's no secret that the voice is that of Dorotea Van Humbeek, the professor's sister and sometimes model for Gregor when he pursues his interest in art. She and Gregor have become friendly even though there is a large age difference. I enjoy emphasizing Dorotea's rather stunning physical presence for someone reaching 70 which, in part, influenced my choice of PoV for this picture. I think of Dame Helen Mirren when I think about Dorotea (of course, I'm a bit older than Dorotea but you'd rather have me thinking of Helen Mirren, trust me! XD).

Thank you, Mazzam. I like to emphasize Dorotea's physicality which was why, in part, I chose this particular PoV.

Thank you, Steve. I enjoy writing the story as well as illustrating. I really have come to have an enormous affection for these characters.

Impressive pose and expression, Gregor looks sad and quite low, sank blood pressure. Some light waves coming in might help with his misery, I assume. Superb composition and lighting, brilliant render.
Magnificent Masterpiece of Finest Arts. I love it!

This is a turn - I figured the professor was a sure thing.

Yes, my feelings about the characters led to my belief that Gregor wouldn't burden his sister with his own concern that Professor Van Humbeek might not be inclined to view his lack of integrity in a positive light even considering the context.

Thanks, Kellie. I imagine he's been putting on a happy face for his sister and has been worrying about this and now he's letting it all hang out (as it were). The PoV was chosen partly to emphasize the remarkable physical presence of the Professor's sister, Dorotea, despite her... ahem... maturity. XD

Thank you, Anne. The PoV was chosen partly to build suspense and partly to emphasize Dorotea's remarkable physical presence. Despite her age (70) I view her as quite striking; think someone like Dame Helen Mirren. =)
As for Gregor's sad face, he's been putting on a cheerful face for his sister and now that she's left him to use the bathroom he's able to just "let it all hang out".

Good work. Point of view is dramatic and well done. Gregor's face is telling.

Thank you! I really wanted to give as much a feeling of suspense as is possible with such a mundane bit of story-telling (...and Dorotea has great legs! XD). I really wanted Gregor to let it all hang out and make it plain that he's been putting on a happy face for his sister and is really very worried.
MollyFootman 9:56AM | Sat, 02 July 2022
Heh. Yeah. I may have overdone (overdid?) the expression a bit, but I wanted to make it plain how much anxiety he's been hiding from his sister. =)

Dear Molly, you are right, Dorotea has a strong presence. I like that and her age of 70 is remarkable, she earns respect. And I am thinking of doing a picture with her by myself. Heartly greetings Anne

Of course, Tempesta3D may have had a different age in mind but being 74 myself, I liked making her near as old as me. I look forward to anything you will share with this wonderful character. <3

Quite the excellent display of emotions by big brother! Another excellent image! Now on to the 'face the music' scene?

Oh, there's a bit to learn before we go in to the interview with the Professor. I hope you're going to enjoy the twists I have in mind. =)

A beautiful appealing image, just love it very much (expressions & interactions)!
