What an adorable scene with adorable characters!

Thanks so much for the comment! The Onats are such fun characters :-)

OHHHH she's discovered there's a boy in her view! LOL Fantastic scene.
perpetualrevision 1:44AM | Thu, 12 May 2022
Thanks for the comment! I realized after I posted this that Yweeb is the only one not wearing clothing, so not only did the daughter notice a boy, but he also happens to be nekkid! Aside from his waitstaff bow tie, of course. Oops! Should've at least given him a vest, and perhaps a pair of shorts.
Flint_Hawk 12:49PM | Sat, 07 May 2022
My first thought was that the boy sure picked a risky spot to sit! But I wonder what he & his father have spotted in the distance. Meanwhile nobody is noticing the teenager's new interest. LOL This could be the best part of their cruise!
perpetualrevision 1:47AM | Thu, 12 May 2022
Thanks so much for the comment! You were the first to worry about the boy's precarious position on the ship railing, but definitely not the last! What you can't see in final version is that I meticulously posed his left arm and hand around the post, so that it would look like he was hanging on. Of course, that didn't end up being visible in the final render, and it probably wouldn't help much if the ship hit a large swell, but at least I was trying to consider his safety :-)

Adorable scene.

Wonderful romantic scene, adorable and very cute characters, superb atmosphere and lighting, brilliant render.
Exquisite Artwork. I love it!

A fun family gathering.

Ah yes! A very nice leisurely cruise on the good ship Titanic? Yikes! Did we get our time travel date mixed up? Well, you don't need to worry about telling them about their room! LOL! An excellent image and fine fun creation! Bravo! Very nicely realized!
perpetualrevision 1:49AM | Thu, 12 May 2022
Yikes! I hope that's not the ship they boarded! But if they can cross the universe to go to various vacation destinations, I suppose it's possible they can also cross through time! Hmm, wonder where (or when!) I should send them next :-)

Looks like a very happy scene! Came out really well! Hope the little guy doesn't fall off.
perpetualrevision 1:50AM | Thu, 12 May 2022
Thanks so much for the comment! Everyone's worried about the little guy sitting on the railing, but what you can't see in the final version is that I painstakingly posed his left arm and hand so that he's gripping the post. Not that it would be of much help if the ship suddenly swayed, but at least I was trying to make him look a little less reckless! :-)

ein sehr schöner Render gefällt mir

This is a very nicely done and funny looking image! I wish you a nice sunday and a good start into the new week!
CoolDimension 5:34AM | Sun, 08 May 2022
Great posing and scene work! Like a page out of children's book!
perpetualrevision 1:51AM | Thu, 12 May 2022
Thanks for the comment! Judging by some of the other comments, if this was in a children's book, it would be to illustrate the dangers of children sitting on ship deck railings :-)
MajinBoo 8:35AM | Sun, 08 May 2022
Despite the trouble with the water this still came out beautifully.
perpetualrevision 1:52AM | Thu, 12 May 2022
Thanks! I had to employ a few tricks to deal with Mother's dress not wanting to cooperate with the deck chair (and it still sticks up above her legs in a rather unrealistic way), but one of the many things I like about working with characters like the Onats is that no one expects "realism" :-)
gerberc 10:15AM | Sun, 08 May 2022
Looks like a happy family! But sitting on the railing is not a good example for the kids :)) Too tempting obviously!
perpetualrevision 1:54AM | Thu, 12 May 2022
Thanks for the comment! Given how many people commented about the youngster's precarious position on the railing, and the fact that you can't see that I posed his left arm and hand to be gripping the post securely, I probably should've included a "kids, don't try this at home, or on vacation" warning!! :-)

Well done! Made me smile!

Great setting. Looks like a wonderful day
perpetualrevision 1:54AM | Thu, 12 May 2022
Thanks for the comment! It's always a nice day when you can enjoy the ocean breeze blowing through your hair. If you had hair, that is :-)
misumu 7:14AM | Tue, 10 May 2022
My favorite figure is the Yweeb. Everyone looks so adorable. For the water, did you try moving the water plane to the extreme edge of the image so that raising it didn't flood the boat?
perpetualrevision 1:58AM | Thu, 12 May 2022
Thanks for the comment! I realized after I posted the image that Yweeb is the only one not wearing clothes, other than his waitstaff tie. Oops! Should've at least given him a vest and maybe some shorts :-)
The water plane I used is from TerraDome2, so it's a huge circle and needed to stay in position to show up in the distance. I did try adding a second, smaller square plane positioned against the edge of the ship, but I couldn't get the materials to match what was on the distant ocean, so I gave up! I only just now remembered that I have some ship's wake OBJs I could've tried. Oops!

Sorry that the struggle with the water didn't work out. The picture is very successful, though, and it is so due to the interactions and behavior of the characters. You wouldn't need to know about the first picture to enjoy this but having seen that picture and following the story I am enjoying it even more. Thank you for sharing, I definitely am enjoying viewing!

Thanks, Molly! Re: the water, that's just one of those things I tend to spend entirely too much time on that end up not really being all that important! I get kind of caught up in the technical challenge and forget that it doesn't really matter to the story :-)
The Onats have a whole Vacation Photo Album of their adventures :-)
