Description
Many hours left before reaching Hong Kong; hopefully the weather holds.
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.757 using Superfly Cycles 2. Lighting is only from the "Above the Clouds" HDRI from Shaaramuse3D. Tweaked a bit for contrast and sharpness in Photoshop. The aircraft is the Transatlantic Clipper from Vanishing Point although I've put it into the sky of the Pacific. I used Poser people from Poser 2 (dorks XD ) as the crew. I did a very little bit of retexturing and did not have the energy to do what is really needed to make it a perfect product: the hull material wing trim needs to be redone at a higher resolution with more anti-aliasing to get rid of the "jaggies". >.<

Thank you, DG. It's not usually my thing but I saw Radar_Rad-dude's picture and knew I had the same content and wanted to see if I could get a bit more out of it. It's very old content but with a few tweaks renders well and with a bit more work on the texture would be truly great. The HDRI image from ShaaraMuse3D really lit it nicely. =)

Heh. Thanks Rad, I'm grateful that you inspired me to mess with it. Using the motion blue was easier than I expected because all the propellers are connected to a single dial so it's easy to spin them in unison.

really nice lighting on the clouds, RichardPhotos should think about making some of his excellent shots into hdri images I think ;)
Thank you so much, Paul! You're correct that all the lighting and the lovely background clouds are up to that HDRI image from ShaaraMuse3D. I'm not familiar with RichardsPhotos; I think I need to remedy that. ;-)

First came a higher heart beat followed by some interior ear pressure. Slowly - while learning more details - the ear pressure faded and I think I need a break to smoke to fully recover. I've just thought the fluffy clouds are 3D voxel clouds while the world was collapsing within.. Huh, still unbelievable outstanding brilliant awesome composition and render.

Wow Molly I love the clouds. Amazing work. Nice to see what Poser brings to the table, being a Daz creator myself.
Oh, DAZ Studio is a fine tool, but I have been using Poser for awhile now and am just getting the hang of it and have not yet taken it as far as it can go. Thanks for taking a moment to let me know you enjoyed the image, my dear! =)

Saw this one and didn't notice it was yours....have no idea where the posting notices went. My mother flew on a clipper as a teen about the same time my father was training in Hellcats and Corsairs..... Great as always.
Thanks, the content needs a bit of tweaking to be REALLY great and I might do that one of these days. In the meantime, I was really pleased with how this came out. It's not my usual sort of picture, blame Radar_rad-dude! XD
