Bay continues telling Mab the secret story of Cubes and Kings: Olar Murtom, king of the Northern Tribes, gasped in horror! Only moments ago, his pet rat, Tidbit had saved his life by biting the glowing uniform of Lom Uhrain, who was being controlled through it by the evil Savante Tas! Tidbit's attack had short-circuited the control device, freeing Lom, but Tidbit had paid the price! He lay on the ground of the imperial chapel, his tiny rat body smoking with steam from the energy he had absorbed from Lom's control uniform! The furry brown rat began to glow and then... "Lom! look!" Olar screamed! "Tidbit is alive! and he's growing larger and larger!" "He's already gigantic!" Lom gasped. "And he's still growing..... Tidbit squealed in pain as the cosmic energy of the Ancient Ones caused his body to grow to humongous heights! Terrified, he scurried towards the ancient entrance way of the chapel, shaking the ancient brick work as went! "Tidbit! Come back!" King Olar yelled. He stuffed his other rat friend,Topaz, into his tunic as he and Lom Uhrain turned and chased after the terrified creature. As Tidbit scampered through the entrance way to the lobby, his oversized body knocked loose the brickwork. It fell violently to the ground in a torrent of plaster and ancient stone. Tidbit leaped free of the maelstrom, but the falling rocks made a barricade right in front of Olar and Lom! "We're cut off!" King Olar said. " We will have to find another way out and fast! Tidbit is hurt and confused! People might think he's some kind of monster and try and destroy him! In the lobby of the chapel, Tidbit stopped and looked back of the mountain of stone that covered the exit way. His whiskers moved up and down as he squealed in fear that he might of hurt his beloved friend, King Olar! Suddenly, he heard footsteps nearby and turned to see a dark-haired man wearing a white tunic. In his hand was a sword that blazed red and crackled with lighting flashes! Tidbit lurched back in terror as the sword cast a red glow over him! "Do not be afraid, my friend." The strong, dark-haired man said. "My name is Garen Yar! I am a knight and one of the Ancient Ones. I came down to your world to stop Savante Tas from enslaving humanity! I sensed much Ancient power at work here and came to help!" "Squeak, squeak!" Tidbit answered as he brought his clawed hands up in a defensive gesture. "Yes, I can understand you!" Garen said. "I sense much cosmic power in you! That is what has caused you to grow to such a large height!" "Squeak, Squeak...SQUEAKKK!" Tidbit answered. "That is a incredible story!" Garen answered. "You are very good creature to risk your life to save your friend, King Olar! I am here for the same reason! To protect King's Olar and Loam and to stop Savante and the other ancients from enlsaving humanity! You would be a powerful friend and ally! Will you join with me? Will you help me stop Savante Tas?" Garen Yar reached out his hand in a gesture of friendship and lowered his blazing sword. "Squeakkk, SQUEAK!" Tidbit cried, shaking his head "yes" up and down affirmatively as he brought his clawed hand down and gently touched Garen's hand. "Thank you, my friend!" Garen said. "I sense Savante Tas nearby!
