while I understand some fans' preference for the b and w, I think they're equal. This is a fine angle, visually dramatic, with the grit of the city above and behind him---there's an irony w/ the splash of those signs (the best pizza in town) and the bright upper storey, contrasted with your character's down and reflective mood. Again, fine body language: very sensitive to how we express doubt, fear, anguish, resignation...a bowed head, a gaze dark and overshadowed, hands almost---almost---grasping for something...you're very intuitive about these things. (By "intuitive," I don't mean you don't work on them, but the end result seems to come straight from your wellspring...) And, as in your video, you place him expressively---he's in one side of the image, so the city has a loud say behind him: This is something photographers work on very hard. A very fine piece of 3D "photography"...

Hey, I commented on your sublime and deeply moving 'Streets of Philadelphia' animation a couple of years back, but realised only today that I'd forgotten to write something on this render that still goes along with your animation. This black and white picture perfectly conveys the sense of disarray and devastation that hit the youth of the country when the first HIV cases struck them for no reason at all if not by means of a virus that was supposedly originating from some African monkeys found contaminated in the tropical rainforest there. God knows what really happened, as so many theories and explanations were produced back then....I've just watched the video again, and wouldn't change a single word in what I wrote when you first published it over here. Both video and render are superb in every respect.
