Well, I ALMOST love this piece. Almost.
The hair is the right style, but MAN is that mesh showing it's age. I got it a little better with some new textures, but to me is just looks like lifeless ribbons no matter what I do.
Anybody know of a new mesh of the same style that actually looks good up close? I'd greatly appreciate suggestions!
This, by the way, is a new character in my book series named Gloria. She won't be around TOO much, but she'll have a pretty significant impact. I really want to get the portrait looking perfect for her.
The hair I'm using here, by the way, is "Jonas Hair" for Genesis 3 Male.

Gloria's a cutie and the hair style is right for her but but you're right - the mesh is definitely dated. I'd look for something better. She's worth it. Thought I saw a short curly bob on sale in DAZ a bit ago....

She looks great here - and I know what you mean about the hair... I have a few like that as well.. Problem is, I really like the style of a couple of them, and still use them from time to time. Which usually results in a few pleasant hours with some of Antje's hair brushes in Photoshop.
Some of the best hair models I've seen are by SAV.. She left us too soon...

Biscuits does the best hair, right up there equally with Linday, Her Yun and Mihrelle. That mesh does take the realism away ever so slightly but this is a bombshell steaming hot portrait. I'd spend half a day trying and discarding hair so it's just as well, it wasn't me with such a brilliant concept!
I do like Biscuits work, and Linday. Not too impressed by out-of-touch. It looks good, but often requires a ton of adjustment to prevent artifacts.
Looks cute. Some of Biscuit's short hair might fit since there is usually several styles in one package. Prae has some short curly styles that might work. Wolfe frequently provides mats for both vendors.
