Description
The head maid clank shined the carbide bullseye lamp on the motionless form as the air pirates pulled down the bed clothing. "You've killed my lady! I'm powerless!" it exclaimed.
"I assure you she is quite alive although she will not be coming around for quite a spell. When Mr. Billy says to sleep, they go right out!" The taller air pirate slapped the weighted billy club against her left palm and chuckled. "She is comely enough. We could sell her to one of our clients from Arabee or Afrique. Our current client is paying even better than they would, though, so long as she lives."
The shorter pirate sat on the bed and closely observed the Lilja's inert form. "She breathes. Indeed she is quite alive although quite blotto! Well done, Kimiko, well done!"
The taller pirate grinned behind her mask. "Enough palaver! Stuff a handkerchief in her gob and let's roll her up tightly in the bed clothing. She'll be easy for the clank to carry, secure and quiet even if she comes around!"
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.619 with the Superfly Cycles 2 rendering engine. The location is the servant quarters of Blue Tree Studio's modular mansion. The Skydome and manor grounds are by Flink. The taller air pirate is based on the Dawn mesh with shape and texture by Tempesta3d. The shorter air pirate is based on good ol' V4 also with shape and texture by Tempesta3d. Their gear is from DAZ. The head maid is based on Cybertenko's CSI mannequin with an outfit by Maya Studios repurposed. The Ball Joint Doll is from Maya Studios is also visible as one of the humanoid clank maid servants in the ground floor in this picture.

Beautiful. The central character looks ethereal!

Thank you, my dear! I love Tempesta3D's characters and use them a lot. Lilja is so pretty she made the perfect damsel in distress (as well as the sweet heroine). I really appreciate your comment!

Really nice lighting! Yet again I first look at one figure in the front then am intrigued to look at all the details behind. Well done!

Thank you, Annie! I'm trying to learn lighting with a lot of contrast. It's harder with a physical basis renderer like Superfly Cycles 2. There were ways to cheat in the older Firefly renderer that aren't actually based on the behavior of real light that are not available to me now. That sounds like a bad thing but it's really making me learn a lot more about the physics of light and how to use it. Learning isn't a bad thing, even for an old dog like me!

A very rich action scene that reminds me of Miyazaki Hayao's Laputa, well worth a look if you can find it. Beautifully executed scene 5+

Thank you, Paul! I will see if I can find the movie that you are talking about. Could it be something also called "Castle in the Sky"? I think someone else recommended it to me as well. I really appreciate your comment!

Dear Molly, the light that falls on the main character I like very much - mystical effest. Regards anne
MollyFootman
Thank you, Anne! The light is coming from a spotlight that I attached to the carbide bullseye lamp that the head maid clank is holding. There are other point lights in the scene (for instance the candles in the background) but the main light is from the aforementioned spotlight. I didn't use and image based lighting.
