Description
Darcy is a writer researching her next book on African Folk Tales. She travels from village to village on her elephant, Lucy. The Villagers fondly call her The Crazy Lady because of Lucy and Harvey the goldfish and her Louisville Slugger. The bat is mostly used to play baseball with people but it also comes in handy if someone get any notions of messing with her or her friends.

that elephant has real control! (To hold up that fish bowl like that---on its trunk! not to shabby...) Great contrasts with Darcy's white outfit against the gray elephant and her beautiful dark chocolate skin and hair. And I love the look of the whole elephant---with the bag and box, a great bunching of stuff. And what is that long thin tube between the box and the traval bag---a rolled-up tapestry? an african instrument? Okay I read your credits: A didgeridoo! She plays the didgeridoo! I love what she travels with...She's very comfortable in this image, and the background has whispering mountains...(they're faint but they're real). Really enticing and wonderful contrasts of objects, colors, etc.

Lovely outdoor scene (love the grass). Superb texturing on the elephant. I do get a bit worried about the fishbowl the elephant is holding up with her trunk, though!
