Woo! I got the fight sequence done. Four pages. I'm deciding whether I'll upload them all now, or one a week like I was doing. Hmm. I guess it goes give me some nice buffer...
Honestly, I probably could have gotten these done a lot sooner, but struggling through the blahs and everything else meant I was only doing a LITTLE bit of work at a time. Then I kept drawing blanks on the dialogue. Still not my strong suit for comic pages, but I'll roll with what I've got. I'm really used to novel writing, and it's quite different for comics. Now I understand why comics usually have kinda cringe-worthy dialogue.
So. Here's page 27. Once I get all four uploaded, that will put us up to page 30. If I were sticking to standard-issue format, that would leave me two more pages to wrap up the issue. COULD be, that's what I do. Could be I'll tack on a couple. Finding a good stop point for the "chapter" is an art all unto itself. Considering what I want to do with the other characters, I'll either need two really cramped pages, or just let it run a little overlong. Every page over, I need to run two pages to keep the number even.
Silly rules I make for myself.
I'm so glad to get the sequence done, because I'm sick of this dress. And the axe-wielder's tunic.Gah. I'll never use that prop again! I might use the dress again, but not for this sort of thing!
Now, you might notice the dress is shorter. Choppy. I wanted to show her cutting it off, but I decided you'd figure it out without going through a whole other page of motions. And building very complex opacity masks.
I'm thinking, once I get this "issue" done, of posting it to tapas. It would be nice to earn some fans.

Oh, my..... Never call a woman with a sword like that "gutter trash." It's really hard to talk (or eat, or anything else) when your head is rolling around on the ground... Looking good here, sir! And I suspect the "princess" will make short work of these scallywags..
RE: Silly rules.... Yeah, I made some of those way back when.. About the 3rd page of Chapter Two, the rules thumbed their nose at me and jumped out the window! LOL
I think the inner Adrian Monk in me needs for their to be some sort of order to things.
And yeah. Insulting the protagonist is usually a bad idea... Doubly so if they're a lady.

Yeah, that has been a challenge to overcome. I had to come up with a style I liked, but was also easy to do in a fairly short period of time. Not waiting hours on each render for a panel has helped immensely. Thank you.
