Kinnie is sending her Fae Prayers, and she hopes you will join her and me in sending a few prayers Mike's way.
I got a call from him around midnight or so from the hospital E.R. Last night, Mike suffered a stroke, and is currently spending a bit of time in the hospital. I don't know how severe it was (ANY stroke is pretty severe), but he was able to talk to me to let me know, and asked me to let everyone know what was going on. He was able to speak clearly, but he sounded very tired and exhausted.
Mike is one of those lights in the darkness - not only here, but in his community as well. He works hard to make sure those less fortunate have food and comfort. May that comfort - and healing - come back to him a million times over.

UPDATE: 06-04-21 7:50PM CST: Good news! I just heard from Mike. He is doing well and has just been released from the hospital. The MRI and CAT scans showed no new problems. From what the doctors said, it was what's called a "psuedo-stroke" which - as I understand it - is a condition where your body somehow reverts back to the "memory" and symptoms of the actual stroke, but is not actually a new stroke. Thankfully, there were no indicators of any new stroke.
Thanks to all of you that sent a prayer or well-wish Mike's way. The positive energy is real, and was felt. Thank you!

Beautiful tribute... My best wishes fir Mike's recovery! Any stroke is serious, but the fact that he was coherent and talking is a good sign!

I'm thinking of Mike and sending prayers for him to recover fully. Kinnie is beautiful and magical and special, I'm sure she will help our prayers to be heard.

Thanks, Rod, for letting us know. Poor Mike, he's gone through so much in the last couple of years. Will keep him in my thoughts and sending positive, healing energy his way. As bad as a stroke can be, it is a good sign Mike was able to speak.

so happy he is still with us Rod, yeah a stroke can be fatal. if he is chatting with you he must be doing somewhat ok. he is and always is in my prayers, with you and others here like Mark. glad he is out of the hospital and good results on tests. tell him i have in thoughts and prayers. and Happy Anniversary Rod& Jo.. thanks for sharing.

I was so, so sorry to hear of yet another heavy event happening to Mike. And I was sooooo relieved to come here a 2d time, and see that he's back home, and that the stroke wasn't as serious as it could've been. I'm not surprised one could have a "memory" stroke---it must leave a deep impression in one's mind (and body). Well, I can't send enough healing to Mike, and I hope he's doing better and will heal grandly now.
Everything you said about Mike is glowing...and hearing it from you (as you two have a very dear connection) makes it all the more glowing. It's beyond my comprehension that the universe has visited all it has on Mike, and I hope this is the last time. As you said (so eloquently) he deserves all his light back in spades.

Thank goodness and thank you also for the news--it's always scary to be really unwell and in the hospital--he's had such a rough time and like you said, he is such a light in his community. I think Kimme's prayers did some good <3 (And Happy Anniversary too!)
