Description
We come to Spacegirl (Bathsheba's Starstrider) at last!
And another chance to render a vehicle I haven't before. The "Moon Buggy" which is identified as "Leon" in the viewport. Hmm. Leon the Moon Buggy. I like it!
I changed the backdrop color to bring out the red more. Also tweaked the suit colors to make the black more black. Lots of little adjustments to the lights, and the addition of two more spotlights to the scene to add rim lighting and to spotlight the character. I need to sit down and label them all next.
I decided to use a hair prop instead of the cowl. Short Wet Hair for iray, cause I figure either you'd slick it to fit under the helmet, or it would get awful sweaty working it for long. Either way, I'm liking how it looks on her and will have to use it again. It fits well enough with her usual hair, I think, to be interchangeable.
Thanks for looking! I'm looking forward to doing Raven's Road Warriors. I don't think Rachel has had a chance to play with that big motorcycle yet. She's a bit of a speed freak (If you recall from earlier sets) so I'm sure something special will pop up for it.
Also got something special being cooked up for the Sisters of Chaos, and then something in mind for brain's Cybernoid suit! Woo! This is fun.

I love the composition--she looks like she is giving a casual wave before bumping off to explore--and the floor color is so neutral it's unobtrusive. Leon is a cool buggy! :D
Yes he is! Quite handsome, too. Converted it to iray, adjusted the diffuse slightly, and he rendered up beautifully!

This is so like all those obviously staged shots from the 60's and 70's, with astronauts waving casually as though they are just popping off to the local shops instead of blasting themselves out of the atmosphere on the back of a giant bomb, it's uncanny...
