Description

I've spent the past month taking my artistic endeavors outdoors... and by that I mean that it's time for me to put up my Halloween decorations. This year I'm doing a few new things outside, but in general I'm still building on the bones of previous years (and yes, the pun was intended). For this first pic, here's a Jack-o-lantern that my wife carved, bathed in black light and featuring a store-bought skeleton hand. This was actually a very simple skeleton prop: It's just a boney arm on a spike that is supposed to be driven into the ground so you can simulate the undead rising up from the grave. It was just a flat white color which doesn't react well to black light, so I gave it a few sprays of fluorescent paint to give it a little "pop" when the UV light is shined on it.
