That's really well done! I'm always impressed by the things blender artists come up with. I've been trying to convince a friend of mine to post to the gallery, but he's a bit hard to convince that anybody would want to see it.

Clever concept executed with fine texturing. I was reminded of the film Cronos (1993) directed by Guillermo Del Toro, which also featured a large mechanical insect. The insect's bite was supposed to turn a normal human into a vampire. I hope your creation doesn't do the same! :)
