this works really nicely with the "sketch" effect. I still use v4 for 99% of my renders... dated maybe but evergreen too!

It's not nicely done Paul, it's wonderfully done, because there is a lot of work behind! I wish you and yours a nice Sunday, take care and stay healthy!

Splendid image you fooled me from the thumbnail thinking you'd used one of those old fashioned bits of wood with graphite running down the middle 😀. Its worked very well indeed

Lovely portrait with an amazing pencil sketch effect!! Did you use a downloaded filter in Filter Forge or create your own? I've used FF to make textures but have never managed to get a result like this using it on a render! And hey, there's nothing "dated" about V4 -- you can find fresh, new ways to use her for at least another ten years! Good to see another user on a MacBook :-)

used three filters, after trying twenty or so, Pencil, Charcoal and Pencil Draw; I have only played around with the settings rather than try and change how they work, not sure my brain is wired the right way to do that :) after getting three or four versions from FitlerForge I layer them in Pixelmator Pro (a simplified Photoshop) and use the transparency setting to extract what I consider to be the best contribution of each...

Superb BW portrait and you can be sure I mean it because, as I said before, I'm not great fan of filters, effects...here it's a wonder.
