Description
Floyd was sitting in his garage talking to his friend Jasper. “I don’t understand women. They don’t make any sense.”
Floyd and his wife had just celebrated their anniversary. She had dropped hints about going out, something about carrots and fur (his hearing aid needed batteries). He thought long and hard about it and did some research so that on the Big Day, he was ready. He helped her into the car and drove to the chosen spot – the local Fair Grounds where the 4H Club was having its annual exhibition. His wife was a bit puzzled, but followed Floyd into the gathering. He strolled the aisles until he came to a girl with Angora rabbits on display. With a nod and a wink, she pulled a small cage containing a beautiful, long-haired rabbit with a pink ribbon around its neck. “Happy Anniversary!” Floyd said. His wife stood frozen for a full minute before she exploded. “But you talked about carrots and fur and I thought you meant a rabbit.”
When Floyd had finished his story, Jasper just smiled and shook his head. He loved Floyd like a brother, but the man didn’t have both oars in the water most of the time.

I love Floyd. He's so like my husband, who once gave me an ironing board for my birthday. They both just had no clue. So cute and creative and I love the characterization.....no cookie-cutter Vicky clones here.
