truly, this is one of the most beautiful interpretations of the crucifixion I've ever seen. The 3 crosses are encased in a cave...it feels like a cave, or an enclave, with arching stone above, and lots of shadow. But there is great light in this image. From the sky---which is radiant---and from inside too. The interior has a special intimate light. And you have these tall 'cellular' structures---like droplets of primal life: They're the tall green ovals, which look like gigantic water droplets. To me, they look like the beginnings of life. And you have a lot of webwork around the crosses too, as if the earth were growing a primal forest to nurture a rebirth. A stunning inward vision, Jacomina. You captured the transcendence of the holiday. I wish you and Karel a blessed Easter, and I hope you both are healthy and strong. And since this season was the beginning of the year, in the ancient Hebrew calendar, I wish much rebirth and light to you both.
