Description

..At some art for the upcoming Chapter 7... Yes, it IS coming.... And it's going to be bigger than I ever thought.. Stay tuned.. This composite is why I like having all the toys available (at least the ones I can afford! 😁) The foreground with the girl and wolf (can you guess who she is? The wolf should be a clue...) along with the plants / trees were rendered with DAZ Studio iRay.. The middle ground (or water, actually) was done with Poser Pro 2014. The water is simply a Poser ground plane with a bump and displacement map added in the material room. The sky / background is a photo I shot a few years ago. Anytime I see a sunset like this one, I'll shoot the dickens out of it! LOL I did a bit of fiddling in Photoshop to get rid of some buildings, streetlights and so on. Then it was a matter of playing with blending modes, layer masks, and various tweaks in Photoshop. This will also show up in the trailer I'm working on (yes, there is a trailer..... Stay tuned.... 😉) Thanks so much for stopping by, and for all your wonderful comments and support! You rock!! And, lest I forget... HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Yves! (Cyve)!! Was wondering about that cruise ship. Love the atmosphere you've on on this scene with them looking at the ship. You got me on clue with wolf. I'm so such a space brain. Suffer from serious CRS. but I know I'll enjoy chapter 7 with all the hints and exciting developments leading up to it.

Cool, Cool, COOL!!

A fantastic scene. That lighting is dramatic and absolutely gorgeous. Excellent job of blending all the parts, it looks like this was a lot of work but it was worth it!

Hmm, looks like Miho is keeping an eye on the 'small' boat the girls just got. Just one of the many developments in this chapter and chapters to come.

The sunset burnt-orange and shadowing on the characters and grass really sets the tone here. Fantastic.

An absolutely amazing scene, Rod. Good thing it was Miho who was watching the yatch, and not someone out to wreak havoc!

And that sunset photo and the light bouncing off the water plane, great work!

'Wow'! This image is beyond beautiful Rod......it's absolutely stunning! I love everything about this.....the lighting is awesome, and I like the way that the whole scene has sort of a golden glow to it.....it makes it look magical!! I also like the girl and the wolf.....they both look awesome! I'm guessing that the girl with the wolf, just might be one of your newest characters, that you refer to as 'The Wolfgirl'!! I've been wondering when she would be making an appearance!! I luv wolves, and I'm anxious to see what happens next!! Awesome work Rod!!! I likey very much!! 'lol'!

first, Rod, there were buildings and street lights in that background scene? Man, I'd never have guessed! Good digital surgery! Next, your light is beautiful, and I love how it streaks across your model and wolf, in that neon orange-red (even on her hair---really fine work). Next, people chose "Miho"? Well, not being a 3D artist, i don't know who that is (and if you've used her before, many apologies for my being so dense), but you've painted an almost yearning scene with her and the wolf looking like characters from a Wyeth painting (see this: https://www.moma.org/collection/works/78455...I know they're very different, but your piece reminds me of the Wyeth, where Miho looks like she's looking into distant dreams). Also, the flowering tree (left side) is a beautiful addition. It really has for me an air of yearning for something out of reach, like maybe there's something on that boat that brings Miho way back in time. (I assume that's your characters' yacht? am I close?) Beautifully done, Rod, and the light is beautiful. Good luck on the trailer and chapter! I know you've been working on them a long time...(do you complete a whole chapter, and then work out the details on each page, or do you compose them as you go along? I'd assume you have to at least have an overall vision of a chapter before you dive into each page...it's a lot to plan and manage...which is why I don't do multi-piece pieces. I go batty if I have to plan that far ahead...)
