Description
This castle was modified during the Renaissance period. But on the wall above the front door, you can still see the vertical grooves where the drawbridge mechanisms came from. The walls are built of hard limestone, the softer white stone used for the sculpted parts

Amazing history and such a magnificent old structure! Fantastic photo, Jean! Many fine kudos!
Love the age of this structure and a magnificent capture you have J C. 5++
Magnifique
This is such a wonderful old castle, J_C...like so many buildings of that period, I admire the stonework...
Great capture!
Frankly, I thought this building was quite small. After all, the first photo lacked the scale. However, when I see the gatehouse, the building looks quite large. Very nice photo, Jean-Claude.
This photo seems to show the building as much older and more serious somehow. The textures of the stones seems so different between the two images. So very interesting to view such a place thru your eyes.
Excellent
wonderful castle capture
Still impressive today - it must have been unbelievable when if was first built - wonderful capture my friend!!!
Very beautiful!
Great shot of this wonderful old castle.
Awesome look over the castle my friend
magnifique.
Excellent shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great shot
