Description
This is the first time in a long time that I've tried IDL (indirect lighting). Was watching the #14 video for PP 2014 about lighting and decided to try it again. It took several renders before I got it like I wanted it to look. Close enough. Re-worked Djinn's face just a little. He's more mature looking now - at least I think so. What do I know? Hahahaha.

He looks great, Ray - and the lighting here is really nice!
I use IDL every now and then, but usually very sparingly.. I've found it useful if I'm trying to composite a figure into a photo with relatively flat lighting - like on an overcast day. It's lack of shadows works well in those cases as I can manually add a soft shadow in PS.
It really suits the relaxed mood of this image. It almost feels like Djinn is inviting me to sit down, relax and trade stories. Very cool!

Djinn looks fabulous Ray......very handsome man! It's obvious that he's into physical fitness......he looks like a 'lean, mean, muscle machine'! He only has one bad habit that I can see......and that bad habit is 'smoking'......very bad habit to get 'into'.....other than that.....he seems perfect!!!! 'lol'! I likey!
Great lighting setup, I like well lighted scene and this looks great, also like what it does for the skin texture. Of course Djinn would looks great in any lighting

You've always envisioned and depicted the most handsome, eye linered, rock star, biker boys there could be. Men of honor and integrity who answer to no one, yet still always have a soft spot somewhere for certain people and situations. Lovely work. I use IDL pretty consistently myself. It can be subtle, but it usually adds some depth and more realism to the render.
Yes, I am going to try to catch up on your story as well some other posts. I should have known I'd never have some time, so I'm making some time. It's good to take a break from ones obsessions form time to time.
