Description
Château de Chenonceau, the "Château des Dames"
It was built by Katherine Briçonnet in 1513, enriched by Diane de Poitiers and enlarged under Catherine de Medici. It becomes a place of recollection with Queen Louise of Lorraine, then it is safeguarded by Louise Dupin during the French Revolution and finally, metamorphosed in the XIXth century by Mrs Pelouze.
Due to the large number of female personalities who have been in charge, it is nicknamed the Castle of the Ladies. (Wikipedia)

As you can see immediately the hands of women ... No, apart from that, the sphinxes looks beautiful. Just as if they were guarding the house. Hopefully you can pass without solving difficult puzzles. Fabulous photo, Jean-Claude.
