Just a quick photo from on the road...
If you ever travel Highway 80 between Cheyenne and Laramie, Wyoming you will see this "point of interest" in between the westbound and eastbound lanes. It is a lone tree growing out of solid rock. The last time I stood here was sometime in the mid-50's when my dad was stationed at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne. I was 8 or 9 when Dad stopped the car at this spot and we all got out to admire this wonder of nature. The tree was considerably smaller then. So was I.
The memories of those days came flooding back as Jo snapped this photo of me - and an old friend.
I think I remember someone else posting a picture of this tree some time ago - probably Richard 😁..

Oh you kid, you, Rod! Marvelous photo of you and this remarkable tree! I'll bet there were a lot more memories that flooded your mind as well when you stood in the shade of the tree.

Isn't it wonderful to return to some place or something that hasn't changed since your childhood days? (Today people just want change, change and more change, all in the name of something called 'progress'... Sigh...)
