Description
The first organ of this cathedral was built in the 16th century. It was then probably the greatest organ of Christendom.
At the beginning of the XVIIIth century, this primitive organ was very degraded. The archbishop of Albi decides to remake it again. This work is entrusted to Christophe Moucherel, an organ builder, and the organ is completed in 1736.

Amazing how they survive the years! Great catch, Jean!
I find enjoyment of seeing such beauty, but never understood why churches spend so much money for such extravagance while people are starving with no place to call home
