And so inside the fairy tale you go
To a place of magic and make believe
Where dreams and fantasies unfold
Where princesses learn to be brave and bold
And young hearts never
Grow old.

It has been way too long since I last posted any artwork. I've been busy managing my art business, and have also been doing a lot of art, working on a project where I am creating images inspired by two novels I wrote several years ago. Some dreams take a very long time to come true, with many challenges and detours along the way. Didn't think this dream was going to take a lifetime. Didn't know I was going to have to slay so many freakin' dragons. Sometimes i feel as if I am lost inside a fairy tale, fighting forces beyond my control, but somehow, some way, I will keep slaying those dragons until I get my happy ending.

what a lovely artwork, nice to see you posting again
I know you've been working on writing for a while now, and I know how consuming that is, esp as you're picking up from past work. I want to wish you everything good with it all, because I know it's consuming your energies now. Your image is awash in fairy tale-dom, I love the foundation-book here, how it's land, but still a book. And the tiny fairy tale king/queendom on it, with trees, blossoms, a huge mythic-man head, a castle, etc. And the little green fairy. And the background cottage and mythical horse, and the path to unknown regions, with all that lush green growth all over the background. (And another fairy flying over the main character---we presume---the young woman in the lavender dress, reading a book.. Maybe this scene is conjured from her reading.) You've framed this with a frame of beautiful pink flowers (top and left top). And the light is dappled and speckled, with rich leafy trees and grass everywhere. Lush and beautiful, Carol. If this is a peek of things to come, you must be weaving magic.
