All health issues settled!!
We had to pay to re--pave the city road behind our house (in addition to the sewer repair) AND they turned my soil upside down! The good fertile top soil I had was buried 6 feet deep and nasty old polluted clay pipe infested Clay soil was put on top. (yes I'm still angry, and we sold that house 6 years ago!!!!)

Teri has it. I own a condo in a high rise, so if a ground line goes bad---we pay extra assessments, but we split it among hundreds of people. Being on the 27th floor, I don't have a lot of contact with underground plumbing...

This is a perfect shot, esp having seen the video: All that enclosed shadow, and the hole; and all that bright sunlight in the background as contrast. And the big crane arching towards us. A really fine shot of this work, Rod. And those two blue pipes in the background make fine visual 'accents'. (I know you don't see pipes as "visual accents," but here they are. A dramatic encompassing shot.)

I saw the video (next upload), and boy what a video. First I love watching you race around at the beg of some of your videos (I know it's sped up---but it's still cool) But when the action started, whoa. I was amazed they did it all in one day. And making it to your yard through that depression in back---that mini-valley with the raccoons and such (as you described it) was amazing enough. Then to see the driver straddle that beast across the two edges of the trench: You explained how he did it, but it still was amazing to watch. And to see how deep it was, and to discover that concrete septic area. (I would've loved to see them hit that concrete, and suddenly it flies open and some dude from ancient Sumeria pops out, shouting, "do you MIND???" And walks off...) (Did they uncover it? Was there really a septic thing in there?)

And then, how they laid the pipe and covered it with gravel. And then drove away through the bog, or whatever it is. (So that no-man's land---it's owned by the city? Or by you?)

It's really a small machine for all its power; and it was a narrow trench too! They must've known exactly where to dig, because they didn't seem to spill over their target as they dug. Fascinating, Rod, I really loved seeing it. I hope this is the beginning of an up-tick for you, and the end of the doldrums. Although I know today you have to pay for it---which is no small matter. (Your next upload should be a pic of you lying on the ground, unconscious.) But I hope it starts to get much better for you from now on.

(And you were wearing a "Beethoven" t-shirt! Man, I played all his sonatas! Ya can't go wrong with Ludwig Van, as Clockwork Orange called him. Great video, and I'm glad it's finally over now. It must be warmer there now, because you were in a t-shirt, and the workers were lightly dressed too. Here's to a much better time ahead for you, Rod...)
