Description
I'm still doing a lot of work on the yacht - getting cameras, lights, etc. placed where I want them. It's almost ready - it's a big yacht.
I'm still fighting off a bit of depression, but it's getting a little better - at least I feel like doing some artwork. They're coming out Monday morning to start the work on my sewer replacement. They tell me it will take 2 days, but they won't leave me overnight with no sewer facilities. That would be awkward. It's going to be awkward enough as it is... I have no idea how they're going to get equipment into my backyard since my neighbor is being such an asshole. I guess they'll figure it out. For 10K bucks, they should be able to.
Anyway, once this is overwith, maybe my stress level will go down a bit, and I can start some of the other things I need to do to get this place ready to sell. And maybe even do some artwork.
Here I thought retirement was going to be fun and relaxing. Silly me... That's what I get for thinking - gotta stop doing that..

What a gorgeous setting! Beautiful work. Yeah, it's not like in the old days, when you could just sneak off behind the shed with the Sears catalog for a few minutes. Good luck with the whole project.

lol, Teri: If only you could've solved that problem with a Sears catalog! (Can you imagine? Buy some shears, maybe a bottle of glue: Snip, snip, glue, glue, and it's all over? I saw the video of the "excavator"---I'll comment in that upload---and it was amazing to watch!)
Man I love this piece. Total horizontal sweep. Melanie looks relaxed and beautiful but alert; in another of your great outfits, and with rich almost reddish light and coloring. And she's surrounded by a grand sweep of forms and lines and shadows and such. It's majestic. If you can get that yacht for a week or two, go for it! (There's gotta be a way to make 3D art become actual life. They'll probably develop that in the next 20 years, but I don't know if I HAVE that long, so I say "get on the stick, people!") I don't know about 3D shading, etc, but Melanie is bathed in beautiful shadow and light. A grand image.
