** Fantasy Attic Wk of 4~13~19 SAOTW Winner~April 2019 Calendar Girl~Ella **
I've kind of been in the doldrums for the last week or so, not really feeling inspired or motivated to do much beyond play with the latest Adobe Photoshop daily challenge, and hang out on Behance Livestreams. There's a lot of good information there, but I need to get off my rear and actually DO something with what I'm learning.
I'm certainly not giving up on my T.N.A. story, I'm just at one of those writer's block stages, and not really feeling motivated. Having to drop 10,000 + on a new sewer line in the very near future certainly doesn't do much to lift my mood. Still don't know when that's going to happen - haven't heard anything from AB May. I suppose they're getting all the required permits, scheduling equipment, and so on. And maybe figuring out how to get the excavator into my backyard since my neighbor is being such an asshat.
Still need to get my taxes done, too... For some reason, I'll be glad when this month is over...
Anyway, here's Ella (G4's cousin) to welcome April - now that it's 2 weeks into the month...

Hang in there Rod ! That $10K+ expense is going to put a damper on anyone's mood. Get that sewer done, I don't think you have any choice there. Then come back to the story and rendering. We will wait because we love your work. Keep learning new techniques in the meantime. They will be useful once you get back to rendering.

Delightfully image! I hope your problems ease up a little... As for your writers block... The tactics that help me are revisiting my old series to gleam new ideas and rereading the previous installments in my current series to find some continuity in the story.
That's exactly what I'm going to be doing - just starting from the beginning of the story, and reading it as if I'd just stumbled onto it.. I do have a lot of ideas, it's just molding them into something cohesive... 🤔
Ella is delightful and is wearing a sexy outfit!!! At least that sewer job will be interesting to watch and you can fly your drone over head to get the best view

I so wish I had ink for my printer, but as hawt as she is the ink would dry up in the cartridges.

I know it's been a bad number of weeks recently, and that 10G project---still not determined---must be hanging over you like a huge tarp. (Blotting out the light.) I'm sorry you have to face that, esp in retirement when you're not bringing in a wage anymore. I hope they do it quickly and let you get back to your life. And it's amazing that this neighbor is so selfish. I can see why you want to move to a more humane place...(And you have taxes hanging over you too? I'm surprised you're not coming on RR and growling and biting... hope your taxes are done soon, too) (Do you get any tax break for the pipe project? it sounds like something they'd give you some break on..or did congress take that away...)
In zoom, Ella's gown has beautiful light, esp as it's silver on black. And real detail in the stockings too---photographically sharp detail. I remember her from your tales, you made an inviting pinup of her here---she almost seems shy, but at the same time inviting. And I remember that red hair too: You picked it up in the floor, in tinges in the brown caption, and you contrasted it with a very de-saturated brown-red in the wall...As always, many fine details and finesses; fine work once more, Rod.
(And, writer's block? It's a shame you're not as shameless as I am: When I can't move a story, I just have characters tell me I don't know what the hell I'm doing, they take over the scene, and turn it upside down; or someone from 2 centuries ago comes in and makes everyone play as if they're in the 16th C; or they're suddenly plunged into a film noir, or placed on another planet...it's a cheap way out and it's also hard to do when you have a series, based in actual actions and an integral future reality. I just know that when i'm up against a wall, I want to jump into my tales and make mayhem. ((A character talks, and I scream, "who the hell asked ya!!!" Doesn't make for great relations with your characters...)) But given what you're dealing with, it's completely understandable that your writing isn't 'singing' right now...it will, once you get past these real life obstacles...I hope they're over with soon...when it rains it pours...)

Love your calendars, Rod--they DO come in handy since I never did gt a 2019 calendar...Ella's little sneaky smile is endearing :) Hope your spirits improve--once you get that sewer line fixed and finished you'll feel better.
Being that I can't offer advice that already hasn't been said, I echo much of the above.
Absolutely beautiful! Your lady is springtime refreshing and of course her dress is very appealing.
I had the root problem also but If I remember well it cost me about $5,800. It really depends on how many segments out of the sewer line they have to work on. I did get quotes from two sewer service companies. They removed one of the fencing panels to roll their equipment in and they do leave a mess behind. Best of luck, Rod! Take care my friend.

The family resemblance is there in Ella: sweet (facial) cheeks and characteristic demureness.
Not sure she'd enjoy springtime in Chicago: sunny and decent one day, rain and snow the next. There's probably only one good month of it before summer comes.
