When I first saw this (about 4 weeks ago), I thought of a big fractal sailboat. Today, I read your small poem, and you said you were sailing. Yes, there are big waves here, and struggle: As your poem says, "surviving/believing/I'm almost/there..." But there's also a boat that keeps moving forward. And your fragments here are almost like stained glass, with leaded seams. And, again, you've put this against a flat surface---only, you've textured the surface as if you used a palette knife on oil paint. Amazing piece. Your recent fractals have been fantastic, Jacomina: ALL your fractals are fantastic; but the last 2 months or so have created these visual fugues and dances on amazing flat surfaces. Beautiful work!
