Amazing piece of artwork Steve!! I luv the background, and all the egyptian artifacts......are those two big black dogs, 'pharoah hounds'??? They look so cool!! I think Cleopatra looks a little 'out of place' in that scene......the costume that she's wearing doesn't blend in with the background.....anyways, that's just my opinion. Other than that.....I think this image is awesome.....I likey!!!!!! 'lol'!!

In full zoom, the detail on this outfit is stellar. And as we zoom out, we see that she is the stunning center of this dark ancient Egyptian chamber. I appreciate misty7j3's comment; but, to me, Cleopatra should stand out from her background, as she's the queen. And the background does have some yellow and gold in it, just more muted...In any case, she definitely stands out from that dark shadowed background, filled with Egyptian art and motifs. And I imagine those dogs have some significance to her, as guardians. (Maybe they play a role in ancient Egypt...it's been so long since I studied Egyptian art, I couldn't say anymore.) Great colors on Cleopatra too, with lots of play between shadow and light. She's splendidly done. You're so powerful at visual expression. The world should grant you the right to do this anytime you wish. You have such a powerful visual sense.
It is no wonder she is still the queen after all this time. Bravo!
