Everything that lives, finds it's way to the end. Everything that has a heart, that has the ability to feel, will live for a short while, will shed a tear, until the very end...

Fantastic and moving render, Ute! Beautiful artwork, my friend!
In this version, death definitely loom behind them. Like your other fans, I sense doom here, and sadness; but there's also great determination, and the feeling that their love will live forever.
One has to zoom this (I zoom everything, but this one really reveals a world when zoomed): The skulls on the ground become vividly visible; the detail on Death's gown also become visible. The amazing detail in the face-forms in the background: They look like big monsters with webs all over them: Amazing imagination here. And the texture of the fire---it has an almost fabric texture, with drops of fire dropping down. And you have black birds (crows?) flying above. This reminds me of Michelangelo's "Hell," or the macabre scenes of Breughel and others. A very complex, very full, and very moving scene. And the light at top---coming through those twisted branches---is like the light coming down from heaven. You created a kind of Dante's Inferno ("Midway down the paths of our lives...Nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita...": the discovery of hell in a dark wood...) Brilliantly done.
Also this is fantastic !!
Fantastic scene! I love it!
