I like your phrase, "corduroy sky"...it could also be a 'quilted sky'. An amazing shot. The sky looms over us like a vast quilt, or sheet of quilted fluff. And the light moves from bluish to an almost gold-tinged ivory. Your low horizon---with just the top of that house, and the treetops and poles---allows the sky to dominate. A fine sky shot, with beautiful puffed clouds...stunning...
