...then every so often you go surrealist, and it's a treat. First, I love the big audience on the wall, as if it were projected there (yet it's just 'there', like it were 'thought' on). Love her face on the wall, as well as on her statue. Love that she's part human, part statue (part icon, really). Love that she's next to a massive lute---something from the 1500s! The juxtaposition of the lute with her is splendid. (God, do you know how good you are? Whoosh.) And the starry sky and that lonely street light...This is terrific image-making---I may sound like I'm being "nice," but I'm not being nice: I"m being truthful. You have an eye that's explosive and always on. Great job on this, right down to the luminous blues.
