Description

There's something special about this boat (the original big one, not this fountain), but I have no idea what it is. Bill could tell you, I'm sure. The fountain is down on the riverfront in Savannah, Georgia. The levitation business is Photoshop, of course. It sits on a rather large metal pole, which I found superfluous to requirements, photographically and compositionally speaking.

Very smart choice to remove the pillar. It looks magical now, a flying ship.

From Wikipedia: SS Savannah was an American hybrid sailing ship/sidewheel steamer built in 1818. She is notable for being the first steamship to cross the Atlantic Ocean.

An inspired removal ! If only I could actually do this with the big heavy parasol in my garden...but then it would probably blow away!

It is a very attractive fountain.

Magical...like the water droplets engulfing the ship...lends just the right atmosphere. A-1 postwork!

Well, see? That's what's special about it - it's a flying boat! 😆

A great shot of the model, and that's some pretty good Photoshop work - I'm impressed!
