Description
Since he died in February I still have my parrot's cage, which I shall soon be selling.
This is the shadow of it on the piano mid afternoon. For more than 40 years his shadow was there too.

40 years is a long time.
Perfect title for this misty, dappled shadow of things past. How do you photograph a memory? This is how. These things are so valuable they deserve space in your gallery and of course in your heart. Were you his/her second owner? I've been told parrots can live to a hundred.
No, I had Byron from a chick, he was about 4 months old, hand reared as he was rejected by his mother.
Sad he is gone, but good to have a sweet memory to think about. :)
Bill makes an excellent point and your image is a perfect example of that point.
He was fortunate you took him in Andrea !
This is a unique tribute in his memory, thanks for sharing.
xoxo
