Description

On our trip to San Juan Island, we stayed in a cabin that was owned by a sculptor and his family. The grounds were rich with a wide selection of art, and the cabin had many lovely, artistic touches. A print by Diego Rivera, a small painting in the style of Rothko, and a group of old film cameras on display were only a few of the highlights. Weavings hanging on the walls and polished OSB floors added a woodsy charm. There was a pergola on the front of the cabin that was covered in wisteria, which was beginning to bloom while we were there. The film cameras were on top of the refrigerator, along with this zebra and umbrella. Such a whimsical, charming tableau, I couldn't resist! I enjoyed thinking about this little zebra on holiday with his beach umbrella, soaking up the sunshine.

We didn't have a watchdog so the zebra filled in very nicely. He was so good at his job that nothing bad happened the whole time we were there:-)

your crop makes it look like the zebra is poking his head out to check out what's going on below...love how you captured him. And great light behind him, on the umbrella and the windows. I love the decor you've described: It must make the place seem very fun. A big bold capture of him, and I love the light you got.
