had this image rendered in colour and took it into PaintShop Pro and went monochrome!

Black and white works well here.
I'm skipping, Mike, for the usual reasons (a quick return, enough time for a handful of comments in each gallery), but it's always hard to pick and choose. I loved this because 1, it's in black and white, and 2, the big profusion of snaking lines in that upper portion of this gazebo or whatever it is. Like real snakes: The way you've angled it, they're all messing with each other, visually. And the lady inside is dark gray and black, which makes her very mysterious and almost sinister (against the white-gray marble beneath and around her). Like she's got some secret, or perhaps some evil intentions. (She definitely doesn't look like she's about to tell a bunch of one line jokes...) I like how all that visual activity on top opens up to a much more open area on the bottom. A totally fascinating, inviting piece. And your postworked version (after this) gives it an eerie electrical current. As if she created it. (She looks like she's got something up her sleeve.)
